Keystone Resourcing is an umbrella company and payroll service business employing contractors, locums and freelancers working on temporary or fixed term contracts.
What is an Umbrella Company?
We engage contractors by way of a Contract of Employment, becoming the employment intermediary between the contractor, locum or freelancer and the recruitment agency or clients. This means that the responsibility of paying the relevant taxes falls on us as the employer.
Our main purpose is to collect payment for the contractors services from the recruitment agency or end client, deduct the relevant taxes and transfer the net payment to the contractors bank account.
The main advantage to being employed by Keystone Resourcing is, what we like to call, “continuity of employment”. This simply means that the contractor can work multiple contracts and have one registered employer on Revenue On-Line Service (ROS).
We offer a wholistic service, meaning that we manage the contracts, invoicing, tax deductions and payments on behalf of the contractor. The contractor simply completes the work, submits their timesheets, and receives their net payment into their bank account.

How do Umbrella Companies Work?
Step 1
Become an Employee
- You as the contractor complete a simple registration form and provide relevant documentation to our team
- We send you a contract of employment for signature
Step 2
Agency / End Client Engagement
- We engage with your chosen agency / end client to confirm your contract details
- Once confirmed, we will establish a business-to-business relationship with the agency / end client by signing a contract for services
Step 3
Continue with your Work as Usual
- The individual fulfills the contractual obligations with the end client.
- Once your contract begins, you will continue with your work as per usual
Step 4
We Raise your Invoice
- Once we receive confirmation from you and your agency / end client that your work / timesheets have been approved, we will raise and submit an invoice on the same day
- If the agency / end client is self-billing, we will receive a remittance and prepare your payment.
Step 5
Your Payment is Processed
- Funds are received form your agency / end client.
- We process your payroll; income tax, PRSI, USC and the umbrella margins are deducted from the gross funds and the relative payments are made to Revenue on your behalf.
Step 6
You Get Paid
- You are paid the same day we receive your funds
- As your payment is processed, you will receive a password protected payslip in your mailbox
- You can check your payment breakdown on our 24/7 client portal along with all contract documents and KYC.
